Approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province, the Lab was built from December 2011, aiming at the basic research and application of oil and oil plants processing technology including the deep processing and application of vegetable oil and oil plants and the security control, the comprehensive utilization of vegetable oil and oil plant, deep processing and application of marine bio-fat. The lab also engaged the professor Wang Xingguo of Jiangnan Univeristy as the head of the lab and the academician Sun Baoguo of Beijing Technology and Business University as the head of the academic committee.
