Qingdao Seawit Life Science Co., Ltd., founded in March of 2014, with its registered capital of 30 million Yuan, located at Qingdao Jimo Life Science and Technology Industrial Park, covering a land of 60 Mus, is a high-tech enterprise focusing on R&D, manufacturing and marketing of marine functional raw materials for new food and medicine. The total investment for the first stage is 0.19 billion Yuan, for introducing the state of art equipment in the world, setting up the workshops and accessories for microorganism lipid extraction, microcapsule sealing, and human milk substitution liquid preparation. The main products are marine microorganism lipid DHA, ARA and microcapsule powder. The annual production volume for premium marine micro-algal DHA and ARA is 500 tons, that for oil-rich DHA and ARA powder lipid is 1,200 tons, and that for “full valence human milk substitution lipid” dedicated for infants is 3,000 tons. The second stage aims at researching and setting up efficient organism culture technology and industrialized production facilities.

Seawit is a production enterprise relying on technical development and research, and its research and development team is led by a national academician, featuring a strong technical power. The external cooperation research and development entities include National Engineering Research Center of Seafood, National Engineering Research Center of Functional Food, Provincial Enterprise Technical Center and Provincial Key Laboratory of Shandong Bohi Industry Co., Ltd. and the like. Furthermore, the company has set up Seawit Dalian Research and Development Center jointly with and Dalian Poly-technic University, and Seawit Jiangnan University Microorganism Lipid Research and Development Center with Jiangnan University. The company has also set up National Academician Workstation and Seawit Research and Development Center of raw materials for Marine New Food and Medicine. Currently, it has applied for over 30 relevant patents for invention, and its complete production technology is of own intellectual property rights.
